There are a few steps to consider when registering your pets.     
-First you must select your preferred veterinarian.
-Second you must contact your veterinarian to schedule an appointment.
-To complete registration you must go to your scheduled appointment and get your pets chipped and registered.

After registering your pets will be added into a central database called the Animal Pet Registry. Please get in touch with your veterinarian to change any details about your pet to keep the database up to date.

For the Aruba Pet Registry database, we recommend that all pet owners register all pets residing at their residence. 

When you register your pets, you are complying with the laws (& verordening) in place regarding pet ownership. Meaning that you are complying with the current rules and regulations regarding the ley di cacho as a responsible pet owner. Having your pets registered and chipped also means that they will be added to the central database of Aruba Pet Registry. As a pet owner having your pets chipped also means that you will be able to track them with ease if they get lost.

No. Chipping does not hurt your pets. The microchip is inserted by professionals with a special needle that goes into the skin. The pet will not feel the microchip needle.

You can register your pet at any active veterinarian on the island. Click here to select your preferred veterinarian. Make sure to contact your veterinarian to schedule an appointment for the registration of your pets.

To register your pets, you will need to pay a small contribution to your preferred veterinarian to complete the process. Each pet that you register will receive a microchip with a unique number for which a small contribution is required from the pet owner. Please contact your veterinarian to receive more information about this contribution.

You can start the process of registering your pets as soon as they are 8 weeks old. As soon as your pets are registered and chipped, they will be added to the central database of Animal Pet Registry.

1) inform your veterinarian where it is registered and microchipped, this information will be posted on the animal pet registry website

2) post photos and information about your pet on important Facebook pages such as Lost and Found Pet

3) share the photos and information as much as possible with other people and foundations 

The microchip will help to find your pet and get back home sooner.
