OUR mission
ARUBA HAS BEEN FACING A BIG PROBLEM OF OVERPOPULATION OF
DOGS AND CATS THAT HAS BEEN GROWING FOR MANY YEARS. IN ORDER
TO MITIGATE THIS GROWING PROBLEM, THE GOVERNMENT OF ARUBA IN
RESPONSE HAS IMPLEMENTED THE NPSA "NATIONAL PLAN FOR STRAY
ANIMALS".
THE NPSA IS A PLAN OF ACTION TO STRATEGICALLY AND EFFECTIVELY
TACKLE AND MANAGE THE MAIN FACTORS THAT ARE CONTRIBUTING TO
THIS OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM OF DOGS AND CATS ON THE ISLAND.
ONE OF THE KEY PARTS OF THE NATIONAL PLAN FOR STRAY ANIMALS IS
THE INTRODUCTION OF THE ARUBA PET REGISTRY. THE PRIMARY GOAL
OF THE ARUBA PET REGISTRY IS TO START WITH THE REGISTRY OF
EVERY PET ON THE ISLAND INTO A CENTRAL DATABASE.
THE ARUBA PET REGISTRY IS AN IMPORTANT FIRST STEP TO TACKLING
AND MANAGING THE OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM OF DOGS AND CATS
ON THE ISLAND. IT IS THE FIRST AND ONLY CENTRALIZED DATABASE OF
REGISTERED PETS LIVING ON THE ISLAND.
WITH THE ARUBA PET REGISTRY, THE GOVERNMENT OF ARUBA IS A
STEP CLOSER TO STRATEGICALLY REDUCING THE OVERPOPULATION
POPULATION PROBLEM OF DOGS AND CATS.
